What Is Easter Really Celebrating?

Easter is a Christian holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox, usually falling between March 22 and April 25. The holiday has its origins in the Jewish holiday of Passover, which commemorates the Israelites' liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt.
